Clear Choice Dermatology Announces Opening of New Dermatology Clinic in Sandy, Oregon.

Sandy, OR., May 3rd, 2022 – To meet the needs of an ever-increasing number of patients seeking dermatology services, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Collin Blattner is pleased to announce the addition of a new Clear Choice Dermatology Clinic in Sandy, Oregon. The clinic will be opening its doors for the first time on June 1st, 2022, located at 37587 HWY 26, Sandy, OR, 97055.  

The demand for dermatology services in Oregon far outweighs the number of providers, with patients often waiting months to get an appointment. Clear Choice Dermatology has the philosophy of prioritizing patients first, making this expansion the perfect fit for the community.

Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship Trained Mohs Surgeon Dr. Collin Blattner says, "Patients having to wait months for a dermatology appointment is unacceptable. Clear Choice Dermatology in Sandy will be staffed by dermatology physician assistant Kristofer McAllister, PA-C, and a team of highly trained medical assistants to provide patients with a full spectrum of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care. "It's a joy to serve the people in Sandy and the greater Sandy area," says physician assistant Kristofer McAllister. "I feel connected to Sandy because it's where I've practiced the past two years. I'm grateful to be extending Clear Choice Dermatology to this area and look forward to seeing new and familiar faces." 

Kristofer McAllister's PA-C, sixteen years of clinical experience, equips him with the knowledge and latest techniques available to treat all skin conditions. About Dr. Collin M. Blattner, D.O., FAAD – Dr. Collin M. Blattner is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Skin Cancer Surgeon. Dr. Blattner has a passion for surgical, pediatric, and medical dermatology. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications in highly regarded journals. He has also written six dermatology textbook chapters and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. He serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Women's Dermatology and has completed numerous lectures and professional presentations at the national level. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, Women's Dermatology Society, and the Medical Dermatology Society. He also serves as Dermatology Faculty for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and teaches part of the Dermatology Course at Western University of Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon. He has had the opportunity to work with and learn from many leaders in the field of dermatology and enjoys all the daily challenges of dermatology.

About Kristofer McAllister, PA-C–Kristofer McAllister, a Certified Physician Assistant, was raised in Eastern Oregon and brings 16 years of clinical experience to Clear Choice Dermatology. He graduated from Pacific University, receiving a Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2005. Before his Physician Assistant studies, he graduated with distinction from Western Oregon University with a focus on biology and chemistry. Kristofer prides himself in serving all patients with compassion, concern, and attention. He welcomes all dermatologic conditions but has a special interest in diagnosing and managing skin cancer. He looks forward to providing a great solution to his patient's skin issues. Kristofer is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. On his days off, Kristofer enjoys spending time with his wife and children, watching their sporting events, fly fishing, and working on his farm.
