Clear Choice Dermatology Welcomes Dr. Nikki Tang to The Dalles Location

Clear Choice Dermatology is excited to announce the addition of Nikki Tang, MD, to our esteemed team of dermatologists. Dr. Tang, a double board-certified and fellowship-trained dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon, will be serving patients at The Dalles location, where she will focus on excisions and Mohs surgery.  

Dr. Tang brings an impressive background in dermatology and Mohs surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology at Brown University in Rhode Island and continued her education at Brown’s Warren Alpert School of Medicine, where she graduated from the Program in Liberal Medical Education, an eight-year combined baccalaureate-MD course of study.

Her dermatology residency was completed in New York City at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel-St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, where she received specialty training in treating skin of color. Dr. Tang then pursued an intensive 1-year fellowship program in Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction at Mt. Sinai and was subsequently invited to become a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Her expertise includes complex wound reconstruction, rare tumor pathology, and managing difficult tumor locations.

Following her fellowship, Dr. Tang joined the faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She was appointed Director of the Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Unit and also served as the Assistant Program Director for the Dermatology Residency Program, where she played a key role in mentoring and teaching dermatology physician trainees.

Dr. Tang's commitment to excellence in dermatologic care and her extensive experience make her a valuable addition to Clear Choice Dermatology. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, sleuthing the latest sun-protective gear, practicing yoga, skiing, freediving and spearfishing, and spending time in the great outdoors.
