Clear Choice Dermatology Welcomes Omer Ozerdem, MD, to Washington Clinics

Clear Choice Dermatology is thrilled to announce that Dr. Omer R. Ozerdem, a distinguished plastic surgeon, has joined the team. Dr. Ozerdem will offer his expertise at Clear Choice Dermatology’s Washington clinics. His specialized care will include excisions for skin cancers and subcutaneous tumors, reconstructive surgery, and a wide range of hand, wound, scar, and aesthetic procedures.

With decades of experience, Dr. Ozerdem brings an exceptional combination of technical skill, artistic vision, and compassionate care. His extensive training and global perspective make him a valuable addition to the Clear Choice Dermatology family. Dr. Ozerdem is board-certified in Europe and Turkey and has collaborated with leading plastic surgeons worldwide. He is recognized for his transformative results and commitment to advancing the field through teaching and research.

Dr. Ozerdem’s educational journey began at Ege University in Turkey, where he earned his medical degree in 1991. He completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cukurova University and pursued advanced training through research and clinical fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh, Miami Children's Hospital, and University of Alabama at Birmingham. Over the years, he has held academic positions at institutions, including Baskent University and Uskudar University, while maintaining a successful private practice in Turkey. 

Reflecting on his new role, Dr. Ozerdem stated "Reconstructive procedures have captured my interest since my university days. This initial curiosity evolved into a deep passion when I began working as a Plastic Surgery assistant. I find great fulfillment in planning and treating congenital deformities, as well as addressing defects resulting from accidents or cancer treatments. Overcoming the challenges posed by conditions such as diabetes during these treatments and ultimately resolving these issues so that patients can return to their normal lives brings me immense joy. I believe that Clear Choice Dermatology, with its vast experience and extensive clinical network in areas relevant to plastic reconstructive surgery—such as skin cancers—provides an ideal environment for me to pursue my passion. I am truly honored to have the opportunity to be part of this organization."
