Dr. Tang is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon. She attended Brown University in Rhode Island for her undergraduate studies in Sociology and Brown’s Warren Alpert School of Medicine as a graduate of the Program in Liberal Medical Education, an eight-year combined baccalaureate-MD course of study.

She completed her dermatology residency in New York City at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel-St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, including specialty training in treating skin of color. After residency, she finished an intensive 1-year fellowship program in Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction at Mt. Sinai and was invited to be a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.  She specializes in complex wound reconstruction, rare tumor pathology, and difficult tumor locations.

After her training was completed, Dr. Tang joined the faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she was appointed Director of the Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Unit. Dr. Tang was also the Assistant Program Director for the Dermatology Residency Program, where she was responsible for mentoring and teaching dermatology physician trainees.

Outside of work, her passions include travel, sleuthing the latest sun-protective gear, practicing yoga, skiing, freediving and spearfishing, and anything involving the enjoyment of the great outdoors.
