Dr. Jigar Patel grew up in Virginia and attended Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he graduated at the top of his class and served as President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency training at Duke University, where he served as Chief Resident.
During his residency, Dr. Patel was actively involved in developing innovative technologies to enhance patient care, with a focus on safety and quality improvement in dermatologic procedures. He also received a grant to provide dermatologic care in Botswana, Africa.
Dr. Patel then completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, the #1 cancer hospital in the U.S. He has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at national and international conferences.
In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys playing basketball and exploring the outdoors.
