Rachel Knox, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner with a strong clinical background in dermatology. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, graduating with a 3.95 GPA, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New England, where she graduated magna cum laude. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Psychology from West Virginia University.
Rachel has clinical experience across multiple specialties, including dermatology, plastic surgery, and critical care. She has worked as a registered nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Cardiac ICU at Central Maine Medical Center, where she provided advanced post-surgical care. Her passion for dermatology led her to roles in Mohs surgery and plastic surgery, where she gained hands-on experience in skin cancer treatment, biopsies, wound care, and patient education.
Committed to advancing dermatologic care, Rachel has completed the American Academy of Dermatology’s Basic Dermatology Course and has been actively involved in research and education. She has published in the Journal of Sports Psychology in Action, contributed to dermatology advocacy initiatives, and volunteered at the American Academy of Dermatology’s Camp Discovery.
At Clear Choice Dermatology, Rachel combines her expertise in dermatology and patient-centered care to deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment. She is passionate about educating patients on skin health, preventive care, and individualized treatment plans.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys contributing to dermatology outreach programs, creating educational materials for patients, and supporting military charities through collaborative projects.
