About Dr. Sutherland

Dr. Anna Sutherland, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon providing comprehensive Mohs surgery, general dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology care at Clear Choice Dermatology’s Tacoma and Federal Way, Washington locations. She earned her undergraduate degree from Amherst College and her medical degree from Tulane University, where she also completed her internal medicine internship. She went on to complete her dermatology residency at Boston Medical Center, where she later served as Director of Mohs Surgery and Assistant Professor of Dermatology. Building on her expertise in skin cancer treatment, Dr. Sutherland completed fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of California, San Diego. Her commitment to advancing dermatologic care is reflected in her research, which has been presented at state and national dermatology meetings. In addition to her board certification in Dermatology, she holds specialized certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs). Dr. Sutherland treats skin cancer, general dermatologic conditions, and cosmetic concerns, bringing her academic background and extensive surgical expertise to every patient she cares for. Originally from Colorado, she is excited to be in the Pacific Northwest and looks forward to serving the community through Clear Choice Dermatology.
