Keloid & Hypertrophic Scars
Raised, thickened scars from an injury, piercing, or acne: treatable and, in many cases, preventable.
About the Condition
Keloids grow beyond the original wound; hypertrophic scars stay within it but are still raised and thick. We evaluate which type you have, since treatment differs.

Good to know: if you're prone to keloids, tell your provider before any procedure (including piercings). Preventive treatment can reduce your risk.
How We Treat It
Intralesional Injections
Steroid injections to flatten and soften raised scars.
Laser Treatment
Reduce redness and improve scar texture.
Surgical Revision
For scars that don't respond to non-surgical treatment.
