About Dr. Maughan

Cory Maughan, DO, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon with Clear Choice Dermatology, offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care to patients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Maughan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Science from Utah State University before completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Midwestern University's Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a surgical internship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon, followed by dermatology residency training through Samaritan Health Services in Salem. During his time in Salem, Dr. Maughan furthered his expertise with both a clinical research fellowship and a Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology fellowship at Silver Falls Dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is recognized for his contributions to dermatologic research and education, including publications in leading dermatology journals and textbook chapters. Known for his thorough, patient-centered approach, he takes time to explain treatment options clearly so patients feel confident and informed throughout their care.
