About Kalkidan
Kalkidan (Kay) Worku, FNP-BC, is a board-certified, dermatology-trained Family Nurse Practitioner with Clear Choice Dermatology, seeing patients at the Longview and Lake Oswego locations. She brings a strong academic foundation and a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered dermatologic care across medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Kay earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Family Medicine from Washington State University, graduating with a 3.97 GPA. She previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington in Seattle and completed a graduate certificate in nursing leadership. She began her nursing career on a medical-surgical unit at a MultiCare Health System hospital near Seattle, gaining two years of hands-on clinical experience before advancing her education and training.
During her graduate studies, Kay completed clinical rotations in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, further developing her expertise and passion for the specialty. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Oregon Society of Dermatology Associates.
Kay is dedicated to educating her patients and helping them feel informed and empowered in managing their skin health. Her thoughtful, empathetic approach allows her to develop individualized treatment plans while building lasting relationships with her patients throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Outside of work, Kay enjoys traveling, cooking, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
