About Thongsamouth

Thongsamouth Louangamath, ARNP, is a dermatology-trained nurse practitioner with Clear Choice Dermatology, seeing patients at the Tacoma location. She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Thongsamouth earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN-FNP) from Gonzaga University and is currently pursuing her post-master’s doctorate. She also completed a fellowship through the University of Washington’s Premera Rural Nursing Health Initiative at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, further expanding her experience in caring for patients in diverse clinical settings. Before entering dermatology, Thongsamouth spent nine years as an emergency room nurse, including at Valley Medical Center’s Emergency Department. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in assessing complex medical conditions and caring for patients in fast-paced clinical environments. She later worked as a Flex Care provider in primary care, broadening her experience and developing a comprehensive understanding of preventive and ongoing patient care. Thongsamouth is also fluent in Laotian, allowing her to care for diverse populations.

At Clear Choice Dermatology, Thongsamouth combines this extensive clinical experience with her passion for dermatology to provide compassionate medical dermatologic care. In her own words: “I believe in treating each patient as a whole person, not just their symptoms, by providing care that is respectful, responsive, and rooted in compassion.”

Outside of the clinic, Thongsamouth enjoys hiking, weightlifting, and reading. She values an active and balanced lifestyle and brings that same focus on wellness, connection, and thoughtful care to her work with patients.
